Set Up a Charitable Fund

Don't yet have your own fund to organize your generosity? Funds range in size from a few thousand dollars to tens of millions of dollars, so contact us to get started!

Investment Program

The Greater Horizons investment program offers the flexibility to customize your fund’s investments to meet your charitable goals, whether they are immediate or long term. You advise how contributions to your fund are invested, ultimately maximizing the potential of your charitable dollars. There are two ways to participate. You may choose to have your trusted financial advisor manage your fund, or you may select your own mix using one or more investment pools. Under either option you will receive reports on fund information, including investment performance. 

Your first option is to work with your own financial advisor for customized investment management. With this option you maintain your relationship with an advisor you already know and trust. Simply put Greater Horizons in touch with your financial advisor and our team will take care of the rest.

Your second option is to select from Greater Horizons' investment pools. Based upon how you plan to use your fund, you can choose which investment pool best fits your charitable giving goals. The investment pools are organized according to asset class and include the following: Money Market, Fixed Income, Alternative Investment and Equity. When you set up a fund, you can select from these pools. You can change your investment option at any time. Asset allocations are done at the end of every month. Upon request, Greater Horizons will make available the names of our investment managers, fees charged (including investment and administrative fees), governing body and appointees responsible for investment.
